Federal & State Financial Aid

FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

Before students are eligible to apply for college scholarships, they must first complete the Fafsa.  Current guidelines now require filing based on previous tax returns, which allows student to apply earlier than ever before.  If students did not already sign up for help with the Fafsa earlier in the year, please click on this link.

Mississippi Financial Aid
The Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid (MOFSA) offers scholarships and grants based on merit and financial need to full-time students attending eligible Mississippi colleges and universities.

MTAG: up to $500/year for freshman and sophomores with minimum 2.5 GPA and 15 ACT score

MESG: up to $2500/year. Minimum 3.5 GPA and 29 ACT score

HELP: covers tuition and required fees. Minimum 2.5 GPA and 20 ACT score. Must meet income requirements designated by HELP guidelines.

National & Local Scholarships

BigFuture is the College Board’s free college planning tool. BigFuture provides  students with scholarship opportunities and support to apply to and enroll in colleges that are their best academic, social, and financial fit.
