Happy Birthday Mr. Whitney!

Welcome to the George County High School website – “the absolute best high school in the state of Mississippi!”

On behalf of the administration, teachers, and support staff, we would like to personally take this opportunity to thank you for allowing us – and more importantly - entrusting us to educate your children.  Our FOCUS will always be to provide each of our students with the most rigorous and relevant educational experience.  Not only are we going to FOCUS on providing our students with a curriculum that stresses college and career-readiness, but we are going to work relentlessly – every day – to graduate every single child that enters the doors of George County High School.

Again, welcome to the George County High School website – and do not forget … “there is no better time than right now to be a George County Rebel!”

  • GCHS Officially an "A" School
George County High School is officially an A ranking school for the 2014-2015 school year.  This is a historic accomplishment for our school. GCHS has never before achieved this ranking. Despite the fact that George County High School was the only school in the district with an A ranking, the district as a whole achieved a B rating.  Congratulations to all students, staff, and administration!!!  We look forward to another successful year!
