Once you click on the link above, you will need to select George County High School. Then you can use the “Find” tool to search for books using Keywords, Titles, Author, Subject, or Series.

Click the link above to log into Clever. Once you have logged in, look for the GCHS Library page under Teacher Pages. The following apps are available to use:

  • Destiny Library: Select GCHS > Destiny Discover (2nd tab on left-hand column) to search for books at GCHS and get new suggestions for similar books, see New Arrivals, place books on hold. 
  • MackinVIA: Search for ebooks and audiobooks. You can check these out directly through MackinVIA for up to 14 days, with one renewal.
  • Magnolia Electronic Database: Find credible sources for your research paper/project using Magnolia's collection of free online databases 
  • Magnolia Access Code: required to use the Magnolia Electronic Database
  • Newsela: Current news articles, historical documents and texts for students

Virtual Library Resources: Access free ebooks and audiobooks

Access free audiobooks from the popular Bluford High series for young adults. Short and written in a highly readable style for reluctant readers.


Lucedale Public Library

If you have a current library card, you can sign up for ebook/electronic services available through the Jackson-George Regional library website.


Open Library 

Access to 1.7 million scanned versions of books

A free library with thousands of online classics.

The library is open to students before and after school and during lunch wave to check out books or work on assignments! Students using the library during lunch waves will have to stay until the next bell rings. 


Be sure to get a library pass prior to the time you need to go to the library from your teacher or Mrs. Ray.


Teachers may schedule classes to visit the library for research or recreational reading. Please email Mrs. Ray to schedule your visit.
